A 23-year-old Aliso Viejo resident identified as Andres O. was killed after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in Irvine on Tuesday afternoon, August 29, 2023.
According to the Irvine Police Department, the incident occurred on Bake Parkway and Irvine Center Drive at around 2:30 p.m.
It was reported that a Yamaha motorcycle collided with a GMC Canyon pickup truck. The GMC driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Drugs or alcohol were not believed to be a factor in this incident.
Officials said the victim was transported to a local hospital but later died due to his injuries. The victim’s identity is withheld until the next of kin is notified.
An investigation is underway to determine what caused the crash.
