Three or more vehicles collide in a multi-vehicle collision. They frequently result from “chain reactions” of collisions, where one car strikes another, then strikes other vehicles.
People’s lives can be severely damaged in collisions with other vehicles. Most people don’t consider how dangerous and deadly car accidents can be until it’s too late because they happen frequently.
Thousands of thousands of people are killed or injured yearly on the nation’s highways. 33,654 people were killed in fatal car accidents last year, the report claims. The Fatality Analysis System (FARS) of the U.S. Department of Transportation recorded 36,560 fatalities in 2018.
