[09-01-2022] Riverside County, CA - Fatal Pedestrian Crash Results in One Death of a 55-Year-Old Man in Riverside East EndA 55-year-old man, identified as David S., was fatally struck and died after a pedestrian accident involving a car in the Riverside East End on Wednesday evening, August 31, 2022.

The accident transpired at around 8 p.m. on Day Street, close to Campus Parkway, along the line dividing Riverside and Moreno Valley.

According to Sgt. Ryan T. Seager was crossing Day from the east in a direction where there was no crosswalk when a woman, a 33-year-old Moreno Valley resident, was driving a 2020 Honda Accord, approached from the south at an unknown speed.

The Honda struck the pedestrian in the southbound lanes.

The local authorities discovered Seager to be in critical condition after arriving at the scene.

At 8:25 p.m., the victim was pronounced dead at Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley.

Track reported that although patrol officers questioned the unharmed driver, she was not detained.
