According to the CHP, a 29-year-old man died, and two other injuries were reported after a fatal two-vehicle crash on Pearblossom, Friday night, September 2, 2022.
The collision occurred at around 6:40 p.m. on 170th Street East near Longmeadow Avenue.
According to the reports, the 29-year-old man was operating a 1999 Ford. He entered the southbound lanes for an unknown reason and collided with a 2017 Kenworth driven by Hugo R., 41, Yuma, Arizona.
The 29-year-old man was killed after being thrown from the Ford during the collision. According to CHP officials, a 6-year-old boy from Pearblossom riding in the Ford suffered minor injuries and was taken to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
After colliding with the Ford, the Kenworth continued traveling southeast and, according to authorities, crossed a fence on the back property of a house, where it struck a horse, a horse trailer, and a motorcycle.
According to CHP officials, Reyes received minor injuries and was taken to Antelope Valley Medical Center.
Both the cause of the collision and drug or alcohol use are still being looked into.
