[09-03-2022] San Bernardino County, CA - 33-Year-Old Oscar M. Struck by Car While Crossing in AdelantoAccording to authorities, 33-year-old Oscar M. died after being hit by a vehicle in Adelanto on Saturday, September 3, 2022.

Melgarejo was hit by a Nissan Frontier while crossing west in the westbound #2 lane of the Air Expressway east of Pearmain Street.

The pedestrian was declared dead on the scene.

The driver of the Nissan was identified as 22-year-old Dallas L. of Victorville.

Looney remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Authorities believe alcohol or drugs had no role in the accident.

The collision is to be further investigated.
