[09-03-2025] San Diego County, CA – Construction Worker Killed by Towed Dump Trailer in Black Mountain Ranch

A 23-year-old construction worker was killed in an accident involving a towed dump trailer in the Black Mountain Ranch area in San Diego County on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office, Francisco N. was working at a construction site in the 16000 block of Sunny Summit Drive when he stepped off the side rail of a concrete truck and was struck by the towed dump trailer.

First responders transported him to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where he was pronounced dead later that day due to blunt force injuries.

The medical examiner confirmed that the manner of his death was an accident.
