A 33-year-old man identified as Christopher D of Turlock died when two cars collided on Keyes Road on Sunday, September 4.
The crash occurred around 1:00 a.m. on Keyes Road east of Pioneer Road.
The fatal collision happened when two cars collided on Keyes Road, killing the driver from Turlock and seriously injuring the driver from Ceres.
Desousa was moving quickly east on Keyes Road, east of Pioneer Road, in a 2008 Mazda 3.
31-year-old Richard A. of Ceres was operating a westbound 2017 Chevrolet Silverado when the Mazda veered into the oncoming lane and collided with its front.
Desousa was ejected as the Silverado entered an orchard and turned to face southeast. The Mazda came to a stop on Keyes Road’s south shoulder.
Desousa received fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene. It is unknown if he was using a seat belt.
Agresti was airlifted to a nearby hospital after the collision caused serious injuries to him.
The CHP was unable to establish whether alcohol or drugs contributed to the collision.
