[09-09-2022] 75-Year–Old Passenger Dead in Rear-End Crash in HesperiaA 75-year-old man in the passenger seat was killed when his car was rear-ended by another automobile in Hesperia on Friday night, September 09, 2022.

The accident happened at about 9:12 p.m. near the E Avenue and Hercules Street junction and involved a 2016 Kia Soul and a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer.

According to Sheriff’s officials, the Chevrolet was heading north on E Avenue, and the Kia was behind the victim’s vehicle.

According to a sheriff’s press release, the Kia impacted the rear of the Chevrolet, forcing the Chevrolet to roll once.

The elderly passenger in the Chevrolet suffered serious injuries and died at the scene. There was no information on whether the 20-year-old male driver was injured.

The accident is to be further investigated.
