According to an early investigation, the pedestrian was struck by the car as he attempted to cross Mission Avenue. The man was given life-saving measures but ultimately succumbed to his injuries, which included head trauma.

On Friday, the surrounding streets were closed while police investigated for several hours. The car’s driver stayed at the scene and cooperated fully with the authorities.

According to investigations, there is no indication that drugs or alcohol played a role in this collision.
