According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a male pedestrian died following a hit-and-run crash in central Bakersfield Sunday, September 11, 2022.
According to the police, the crash occurred around 10:44 p.m. on P St. near 6th St.
The BPD investigation revealed that the subject was hit, and the car involved had fled.
The police are looking for a suspect in a hit-and-run car that drove away as a black sedan with driver-side front end damage.
According to BPD, the man was transported to Kern Medical, where he is in critical and unstable condition.
According to police, it is unknown if alcohol was a factor. The crash is still under investigation.
