A pedestrian was struck after a hit-and-run accident in Pomona early Thursday morning, September 15, 2022.
The accident transpired around 1:30 a.m. in the vicinity of East Bonita Avenue and North San Dimas Canyon.
According to the deputy from San Dimas Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, he saw a black car strike the pedestrian and drive off.
The vehicle was being pursued by the sheriff’s deputy when it crashed at the intersection of North Garey Avenue and East Bonita Avenue.
To help San Dimas Sheriff’s deputies with a felony traffic stop, Pomona and La Verne police departments both sent out emergency response teams.
The female passenger in the car resisted leaving. The female was apprehended and taken to Pomona Valley Hospital after about 20 minutes.
The condition of the struck victim was unknown when she arrived at Pomona Valley Hospital.
