Fatal Work Accident Statistics
In the US, fatal workplace accidents are a significant issue. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that over 4,000 workers passed away in 2018 as a result of occupational injuries, a rate that has been steadily rising since 2012. It’s critical to comprehend the reasons behind these deaths and how they can be avoided as 2019 gets underway.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, more than 4,500 fatal work injuries occur annually in the United States. Due to these fatalities, employers had to pay close to $17 billion in medical costs, lost productivity, and workers’ compensation claims. Even though fewer workplace fatalities have occurred since 1992, they still account for a sizable portion of all injuries.
Accidents at work can occur at any time and can have terrible repercussions. These mishaps are frequently avoidable, but many businesses fail to take the necessary measures to protect their workers.
It’s critical to realize that you can avoid all workplace accidents with suitable safety measures and instructions. But it’s crucial to know what to do when accidents do happen.
