[09-15-2022] Fatal Two-Vehicle Collision in Hesperia Leaves One Dead and Another InjuredAccording to the investigation, one is dead and another suffered minor injuries after a two-vehicle collision in Hesperia on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

The collision occurred around 4:50 a.m. on the northbound I-15 Freeway north of the Main Street off-ramp.

San Bernardino County Fire firefighters arrived and pronounced the driver of a black Toyota Camry dead there. The Chevy Malibu’s driver suffered only minor wounds.

The Camry was severely damaged on the driver’s side when it stopped along Amargosa Road following the collision.

The Malibu sustained most of the damage to the driver’s side after getting wedged between both k-rails inside the construction zone. Before the incident, a tractor-trailer semi stopped, and the CHP took pictures of the truck’s back, where there was minor damage.

California Highway Patrol Victorville Station officers are looking into what caused the collision.

Local authorities will update as new information becomes available.
