One passenger was hurt while the driver was detained due to a DUI collision on East Shields Avenue on Friday, September 16, 2022.
The accident happened around 1 a.m., not far from the intersection of North First and East Shields avenues.
For an undetermined reason, two cars collided in the area. The events that led up to the accident were still unknown, though.
Officers also showed up and detained one of the drivers for DUI.
The authorities haven’t yet revealed their identity, though.
In the meantime, paramedics took his injured passenger to a nearby hospital. In addition, the other driver was unharmed.
Emergency personnel briefly shut down the surrounding area while performing clearing and preparation tasks.
Authorities are currently looking into the DUI accident on East Shields Avenue, and once they have more information, they will make it public.
