[09-17-2022] 20-Year-Old Woman Killed in DUI Collision in Western FresnoAccording to the California Highway Patrol, a 20-year-old woman was killed in a suspected DUI collision on Highway 180 in Western Fresno Saturday, September 17, 2022.

The fatal collision transpired around 9:15 p.m. outside Kerman on Highway 180 and Shasta.

A Honda traveling in the westbound lanes accidentally entered the eastbound lanes, colliding with an Acura carrying five people.

Even though she had her seat belt on, she was still killed in the accident. The driver of the Acura and four other passengers were transported to the hospital.

At the time of the collision, the California Highway Patrol strongly suspected that Antonio O., age 27, was behind the wheel of the Honda and under the influence of drugs.

He was in critical condition when he arrived at the hospital, where he was treated. Orosco will be booked into jail upon release, and he is expected to be held on suspicion of drug impairment and vehicular manslaughter.

The investigation into the collision is still ongoing.
