[09-17-2022] Motorcyclist Dead After Two-Vehicle Collision in BakersfieldAccording to the authorities, a two-vehicle collision left a motorcyclist dead in southwest Bakersfield Saturday night, September 17, 2022.

According to the officials, the crash transpired just before 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Stockdale Highway and Coffee Road.

The preliminary investigation conducted by the police revealed that the motorcyclist ran a red light and was involved in a collision with another vehicle while traveling through the intersection.

The man riding the motorcycle was involved in the accident, and emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.

According to a statement released by the police, the driver of the other vehicle involved in the incident remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators.

The motorcyclist has not been identified, but the Kern County Coroner’s Office will do so later when they have the opportunity.

The investigation into the collision is still ongoing.
