A woman was killed and a man injured after a suspected DUI driver rear-ended a Buick in Victorville on Friday morning, September 19, 2025.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriffโs Department, the crash occurred around 4:19 a.m. at the intersection of Mojave Drive and Sixth Street near Victor Valley High School.
A white Buick Lacrosse was stopped at the intersection when it was struck by a gray Chevy Colorado traveling eastbound on Mojave Drive, driven by 19-year-old Luis N. of Barstow. The adult female passenger in the Buick was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the male driver sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Luis was also transported to a hospital for evaluation and later arrested on charges of DUI causing bodily injury, DUI with a BAC of .08 causing bodily injury, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and murder. He was booked at the High Desert Detention Center and is being held without bail.
The identity of the deceased has not been released by the San Bernardino County Coronerโs Office. Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
