[09-20-2022] San Diego County, CA – Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Hit by a Car in San Marcos

A car hit and severely wounded a pedestrian at a San Marcos intersection on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the collision happened at 9:15 a.m. on Via Vera Cruz and West San Marcos Boulevard.

According to Lt. Ryan Wisniewski, paramedics transported the pedestrian, only described as “elderly,” to a hospital to treat serious injuries.

The Lieutenant added that the collision caused traffic lanes in the vicinity to close for roughly two hours.

The investigation is still ongoing.
