Two-Vehicle Crash Statistics

Fresno is a major metropolitan area in California. This city’s innovative street layout is complemented by its low living costs and distinct street sections. However, car accidents are also common in this region. Tens of thousands of people are killed or seriously injured every year as a result of this.

The death toll from car and pedestrian accidents is highest in Fresno, California. About 11,000 car accidents, including rear-end collisions, occurred in Fresno between 2003 and 2016, which should be alarming to locals.

When one car crashes into the back of another, the result is called a rear-end collision. A rear-end collision is usually (but not always) the fault of the driver in the back because the front car can’t always avoid a collision.

In California, rear-end collisions are consistently reported as one of the most frequent causes of vehicular damage. There were 118,029 rear-end collisions in 2011 that resulted in injuries, and 405 rear-end collisions that resulted in fatalities, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Because rear-end collisions are often brought on by factors like following too closely, driving too quickly, having worn-out brakes or tires, or simply not paying attention, the rear-end driver is almost always held responsible. These are matters for which the rear driver is responsible, not the front.
