According to the California Highway Patrol, a 16-year-old man was killed following a motorcycle accident north of the city on Sunday afternoon, September 19, 2022.
The crash occurred just before 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Escalon-Bellota Road.
A 19-year-old man was traveling west on Dove Road on an off-road motorcycle when he came to a stop at the intersection of Escalon-Bellota Road.
Unknown circumstances led to the motorcycle driver riding into the intersection, colliding with the side of a Lexus that was moving south on Escalon-Bellota without a stop sign.
The motorcycle’s rider was ejected and later died at the scene from his wounds. His identity was still unknown as of Monday afternoon.
The 64-year-old Bay Area guy who was driving the Lexus was unharmed.
The investigation is still ongoing.
