[09-25-2022] San Joaquin County, CA – 16-Year-Old Man Killed Following a Motorcycle Accident in Escalon

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 16-year-old man was killed following a motorcycle accident north of the city on Sunday afternoon, September 19, 2022.

The crash occurred just before 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Escalon-Bellota Road.

A 19-year-old man was traveling west on Dove Road on an off-road motorcycle when he came to a stop at the intersection of Escalon-Bellota Road.

Unknown circumstances led to the motorcycle driver riding into the intersection, colliding with the side of a Lexus that was moving south on Escalon-Bellota without a stop sign.

The motorcycle’s rider was ejected and later died at the scene from his wounds. His identity was still unknown as of Monday afternoon.

The 64-year-old Bay Area guy who was driving the Lexus was unharmed.

The investigation is still ongoing.

According to estimates, 15,527 motorcycle riders were hurt, and 541 were killed in collisions in 2017.
