[10-01-2023] Marin County, CA – 54-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Hospitalized Following Hit-and-Run Collision in San Rafael

A 54-year-old male pedestrian was hospitalized after a hit-and-run collision in Canal, San Rafael, on Sunday night, October 1, 2023.

According to the San Rafael Police Department, the incident occurred on Bellam Boulevard near Lisbon Street shortly before 10:00 p.m.

Video surveillance showed a hit-and-run driver clearly hitting the pedestrian outside a crosswalk. Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries.

The police arrested Eric M., a 32-year-old Vallejo resident, on suspicion of hit-and-run causing injury and driving without insurance while his license was suspended due to a previous DUI conviction.
