[10-02-2022] Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on TuolumneA black SUV struck a 20-year-old motorcyclist, critically injuring him, in downtown Fresno early Sunday morning, October 2, 2022.

The crash occurred around 1:00 a.m. close to Tuolumne Street and Highway 99.

According to Fresno Police Lt. Sean Biggs, the black SUV struck the motorcycle as it was traveling in the wrong direction on Tuolumne.

According to Biggs, the rider was thrown from the motorcycle and fell to the ground.

The black SUV stopped by the side of the road before driving away.

According to Biggs, the rider was discovered by police lying on the ground next to his damaged motorcycle.

He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center while still breathing and conscious.

The collision remains under investigation.
