Two riders were injured after a motorcycle crash in Victorville on Monday night, October 2, 2023.
According to the authorities, the collision occurred at approximately 7:39 p.m. on La Mesa Road.
Emergency responders found both the driver and the passenger on the roadway suffering from major injuries that made firefighters request two helicopters for assistance in transporting the victim to Desert Valley Hospital.
It has been reported that the two riders were traveling west of La Mesa Road when a sedan attempted to take a left turn onto Petaluma Road east of La Mesa Road, resulting in a T-bone collision.
As the Victorville Police Department conducted an additional investigation, La Mesa Road between Petaluma Road and Cinnamon Lane was closed.
The sedan’s male driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the officials. Witnesses stated that he was an Uber driver and was about to pick up a passenger when the collision happened.
They then requested more police patrols in the area to enforce the speed limits, as they believed drivers traveling there were way too fast.
Further information will be provided as the crash investigation is ongoing. Anyone with more information is also asked to contact the VPD.
