[10-05-2022] Butte County, CA – One Woman Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash in Chico

The woman, identified as Judith G., 76, from Chico, died in a pedestrian crash after being struck by a car on Wednesday morning, October 5, 2022.

The accident transpired around 8 a.m. at Bruce Road and California Park Drive.

Local authorities arrived on the scene and discovered the victim lying on the ground and severely hurt.

The CPD reported that Girimonte died from her injuries at the scene despite efforts to save her life.

The CPD claimed that after speaking with numerous witnesses, their officers concluded that Girimonte was on the run when he attempted to cross Bruce Road against a red light.
