According to the Los Angeles Police Department, an unidentified person was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Historic South-Central Los Angeles Saturday, October 8, 2022.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash transpired around 11:40 p.m. in the Historic South-Central neighborhood of Los Angeles at the intersection of South Broadway Place and 37th Street.
The victim walked up to the car for an unknown reason, and the suspect allegedly drove over him, leaving him hurt on the street.
Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division said that the call came in as a shooting at a party, and there were comments that a car fired shots and ran over a partygoer.
Madison said that it was decided there was no shooting and that a hit-and-run, which is a crime, did happen.
LAPD says that one person was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. The suspect’s car is a white older model with four doors.
The cause of the crash is still being looked into.
