[10-09-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – Big-Rig Crash Results in Injuries North of Santa Clarita

According to the California Highway Patrol, at least one person was injured after their truck launched itself 1,000 feet down a canyon north of Santa Clarita on Sunday, October 9, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 2:45 p.m. on Dry Gulch Road between San Francisquito Canyon Road and Lake Hughes Road, north of Santa Clarita.

On Dry Gulch Road, located in the northern part of Santa Clarita, emergency personnel received information that a vehicle had gone over the edge of a canyon.

According to the logs kept by the CHP, a group of hikers who witnessed the collision reported that the black truck rolled about 1,000 feet down into a canyon after the crash.

At least one person was airlifted to a nearby hospital with injuries that are currently unknown.

The investigators are still trying to determine what caused the crash.
