[10-19-2022] Several People Including Children Sustain Injuries and One Trapped After a Traffic Collision in Joshua TreeOne person was trapped while several people, including children, were hurt after a traffic collision in Joshua Tree on Thursday, October 19, 2022.

The mishap happened around 6:30 p.m. on Highway 62, close to downtown Joshua Tree.

When authorities arrived, they discovered several patients and one trapped victim.

Many of whom were children, and ten patients received treatment from Joshua Tree EMS medical personnel as they started triaging the scene.

Patients were transported to nearby medical facilities using five ground ambulances and two air ambulances.

According to eyewitnesses, the collision involved multiple vehicles, and the California Highway Patrol at least temporarily closed the highway.
