What to Do After Getting Injured in Someone Else’s Legal Property

Here are some basic steps for a premise liability accident for yourself or others.

  1. Seek immediate medical attention. Seek medical attention as soon as possible, or you may have difficulty proving that any injuries you’ve suffered—and for which you are demanding compensation—are related to the accident on another’s property. Medical treatment improves your chances of a better recovery and can serve as invaluable evidence in a premises liability claim.
  2. Notify the property owner of the incident and the injuries you have sustained as soon as possible.
  3. File a written report with the property owner, manager, supervisor, etc., and ask for a copy of this report.
  4. Gather relevant evidence at the scene when an injury occurs, if possible. Include pictures of the dangerous condition, the names of any eyewitnesses, and a description of what you did when the incident occurred.
  5. Contact a lawyer. Working with a premises liability attorney can improve your chances of recovering the settlement amount you deserve. As soon as you call Arash Law and the team led by Arash Khorsandi, Esq., we will begin building your claim, working with interested parties, calculating your damages, and negotiating your settlement.
