According to the El Cajon Police Department, a driver suspected of drunk driving left a trail of destruction and injured several people in El Cajon early Friday morning, October 28, 2022.
The transpired just after 12:30 a.m., in the 1200 block of El Cajon Boulevard.
A call was made to the El Cajon Police Department after a car crashed into several parked cars.
According to witnesses and responding police officers, a car swerved off the road, collided with another vehicle in the parking lot, and then flew through the air before landing on top of at least six parked cars.
The driver and a passenger reportedly exited the vehicle and attempted to elude police but were eventually apprehended.
It is unclear how severe the injuries sent the driver and passenger to the hospital.
