[10-28-2023] Contra Costa County, CA – At Least One Person Injured Following Two-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 580 in Richmond

One person was injured following a two-vehicle collision in Richmond on Saturday evening, October 28, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol responded to reports of the incident before 8:31 p.m. on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 580 along the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge.

Upon the arrival of police, it was reported that two vehicles crashed midspan on the right shoulder of the road. Paramedic crews attended to one victim who was injured during the collision.

The number of people involved in the collision was not indicated, and there were no other reports of victims being injured.
