[10-28-2025] Los Angeles County, CA โ€“ Motorcyclist Killed in Four-Vehicle Collision on 101 Freeway Near Melrose Avenue in East Hollywood

A motorcyclist was killed in a four-vehicle crash on the 101 Freeway in East Hollywood, Los Angeles, early Tuesday morning, October 28, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers were called at approximately 12:30 a.m. to the southbound side of the freeway at Melrose Avenue. The collision involved a motorcycle and a white Honda Pilot.

The rider was found down in one of the freeway’s middle lanes, but video footage showed Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters using hydraulic tools and an airbag to extract the victim from underneath a red Toyota Corolla.

Firefighters pronounced the victim dead at the scene, according to CHP Officer Sergio Garcia.

The investigation is ongoing.
