[10-29-2023] San Diego County, CA – Male 52-Year-Old Driver, Including Passenger Killed After Single-Vehicle Crash on State Route 54 in Bay Terraces

A male 52-year-old driver and a passenger were killed after a single-vehicle crash in Bay Terraces, San Diego, early Sunday morning, October 29, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol responded to reports of the incident around 2:33 a.m. near the SR-54 exit to Woodman Street.

According to officials, the two occupants were in a black Nissan 370z, driving at a high rate of speed on the westbound lanes, when the vehicle veered off the roadway and into the highway’s guardrails before overturning and rolling into a steep ravine.

The 52-year-old male driver and another adult male passenger sustained injuries and were declared dead on the scene. Authorities have not released the identities of both men prior to the notification of their relatives.
