South Los Angeles Train Accident Statistics
Whether used to commute or transport goods, trains are a reliable mode of transportation. When using different modes of transportation, conductors must have the knowledge and skills required to ensure the safety of both passengers and non-passengers. They might act carelessly or take shortcuts that hurt other people.

According to estimates, more than half of fatal train collisions occur at crossings with insufficient, improperly maintained, or nonexistent active safety systems. There might not be any safeguards in some situations.
According to the Federal Railroad Administration, accidents involving railroads cause more than 1,000 injuries each year in the United States.
Derailments, collisions with other trains or vehicles, and exposed railroad crossings are just a few potential causes of these mishaps that may push the commuter trains from behind, like Metrolink may be moved from behind in Southern California.
The train is propelled by an engine that pulls the train’s carriages out in front of it. Derailing is more likely to happen to vehicles involved in collisions while powered by their engines.
