[11-04-2026] San Diego County, CA – One Killed, Two Injured in Head-On Crash in Chula Vista

A 42-year-old woman was killed, and two people sustained injuries in a head-on crash in Chula Vista early Wednesday morning, November 4, 2026.

According to the Chula Vista Police Department, the crash occurred around 4:49 a.m. in the 12000 block of Otay Lakes Road, just east of Wueste Road.

Investigators believe a Toyota Corolla was traveling eastbound when it crossed into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a Toyota Camry.

The Corolla driver was ejected from the vehicle and died. Her identity was not released.

Two people in the Camry were transported to an area hospital for treatment. Their injury severity was not provided.

The CVPD Traffic Bureau continues to investigate the crash.
