[11-07-2022] Multi-Vehicle Collision Hospitalizes Three People in Central FresnoThe local authorities of Fresno reported a multi-vehicle collision that hospitalized three people in central Fresno on Monday afternoon, November 7, 2022.

According to the report, the crash that involved three vehicles transpired at 3:30 p.m. in the rain-slick intersection of E. Clinton Avenue and N. Maroa Avenue.

The police said that the driver of an SUV allegedly ran a red light while traveling northbound on Maroa Avenue, attempting to cross Clinton Avenue.

A car traveling westbound in the left lane on Clinton crossed the intersection and got struck by the SUV. It then rammed into a 1960s-era utility vehicle traveling west in the right lane on Clinton.

Multiple ambulances responded as police and firefighters attended to the occupants of the vehicles at the side of the road.

Three people were reportedly transported to a local hospital.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the collision, including whether alcohol or drug is involved.
