A 30-year-old man was killed after a deadly pedestrian crash involving two vehicles at Franklin and Union Streets on Wednesday morning, November 10, 2021.
According to the initial reports from local authorities, the crash happened at around 7:55 a.m. in Franklin and Union Streets.
Two vehicles initially collided at the intersection for unclear reasons. One of the involved vehicles then struck a pedestrian.
The unidentified pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash. Emergency personnel attempted to perform life-saving measures on him. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
It’s unclear whether other people were injured in the mishap. The 30-year-old man was later identified as Andrew Z. He was a paraeducator.
The case is currently under further investigation. Authorities will attempt to determine the factors and the liability in the accident.
