Multi-Vehicle Accident Statistics
Vehicle collisions are the leading cause of fatalities and severe injuries in the United States. Around 200,000 individuals per year are killed or severely injured due to these accidents.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that, on average, at least one car collision occurs every 60 seconds. Last year, more than 3,300 people perished in such accidents in California. Unfortunately, almost all of these accidents are preventable due to human error.
According to the National Safety Council, car accidents account for one out of every ten deaths in the United States annually. In 2019, there were 3,898 deaths and more than 2,765,000 injuries attributed to vehicular accidents in the Golden State. Since 2013, 23.5% more people have been injured or killed in these accidents.
When three or more vehicles collide, this is known as a multi-vehicle collision. Up to six vehicles may become entangled in the debris following a collision.
