One person died and another was seriously hurt following a two-vehicle collision in Hesperia on Monday afternoon, November 14, 2022.
According to local authorities, the Hesperia Police, together with the San Bernardino County Fire and AMR, responded to the crash at 1:43 p.m. at the Bear Valley Road and Locust Avenue intersection.
Firefighters arrived at the scene to find a gold Buick LeSabre damaged on the passenger side and a silver SUV on the front.
A female passenger had to be extricated from the gold sedan and, despite rescue efforts, she was declared dead on the spot. The driver was taken by ground ambulance to Desert Valley Hospital before getting airlifted to a trauma center.
The SUV driver did not sustain any wounds.
A witness report revealed that the SUV was moving east on Bear Valley Road when the gold Buick turned against the red light. The SUV could not avoid it, resulting in a T-bone collision.
Bear Valley Road’s eastbound lanes at Cottonwood Avenue were shut down as the investigation continued.
