[11-16-2022] One Person Killed, Three More Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash in VictorvilleA driver was killed and three more were injured following a multi-vehicle crash in Victorville on Wednesday evening, November 16, 2022.

According to the local authorities, the collision occurred at 8:13 p.m. on Mariposa Road near the Scandia Family Fun Center.

25-year-old Victorville resident Ruben N. drove his silver 2018 Hyundai Sonata north on Mariposa Road and accelerated into oncoming traffic at roughly 80 mph, crashing into a silver 2018 Dodge Ram and later a white 2014 Nissan Altima.

The Hyundai’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response, who had responded to the incident. Three more people suffered minor wounds.

The Dodge Ram’s occupants were taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries. No harm came to the Nissan Altima’s occupants.

According to preliminary findings, it does not appear that drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
