[11-16-2022] San Diego County, CA – 56-Year-Old Motorcyclist Injured After Getting Hit by Vehicle in San Ysidro

The local authorities said a 56-year-old motorcyclist was injured following a vehicle collision in San Ysidro in San Diego on Wednesday afternoon, November 16, 2022.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred after 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Otay Mesa Road and East Beyer Boulevard.

The motorcyclist was driving south on Otay Mesa on a green light when a car made a left turn to East Beyer into the victim’s path, resulting in a collision with the right rear door of the vehicle.

The victim was transported to the hospital for multiple injuries, including a fractured pelvis, dislocated femur, and fractured right patella.

The driver is a 44-year-old agent of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. There was no information on his condition and whether he was also injured.

According to the authorities, neither alcohol nor drugs were a part of the crash, and his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

The department’s Traffic Division was looking into the crash.
