[11-22-2021] San Bernardino County, CA – One Person Killed After a Fiery Two-Vehicle Collision in Hesperia

One unidentified person was killed after a deadly two-vehicle traffic crash involving a fuel tanker in Hesperia on Monday morning, November 22, 2021.

The crash took place in the area of northbound 15 Freeway, near Oak Hill Road in Hesperia, at approximately 6:45 a.m.

A silver Hyundai Accent and a gas tanker truck were involved in the collision. The Hyundai reportedly attempted to pass a semi-truck and drove around it, but it then crashed into a gas tanker that was stopped on the right shoulder.

Due to the severity of the impact, the Hyundai caught fire after the accident. One person was trapped inside the vehicle.

Firefighters and emergency personnel later arrived at the scene to help the involved parties. One person was killed in the accident.

No other injuries were reported. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.

The case is currently under further investigation. Authorities will attempt to determine the factors and the liability in the accident.
