[11-23-2023] Orange County, CA – Two Pedestrians Killed Following Hit-and-Run Collision Near State Route 55

Two pedestrians were killed following a hit-and-run collision in Orange on Thursday evening, November 23, 2023.

According to the Orange Police Department, the fatal collision happened after 8:00 p.m. on North Shattuck Place near State Route 55.

A 26-year-old driver named Humberto F. was on a Ford F-250 when he struck a parked Chevy Silverado and the two pedestrians standing near it.

Both victims died at the scene, while the 26-year-old fled the scene on foot before being apprehended a few blocks away.

Humberto F. was booked at Orange County Jail for two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, driving under the influence of alcohol causing death, and for fleeing the scene of the collision.
