[11-23-2023] Sacramento County, CA – Two Minors Hospitalized, Seven Others Injured Following Reckless Two-Vehicle Crash in Carmichael

Two minors were hospitalized, and seven others were injured after a reckless two-vehicle collision in Carmichael, Sacramento County, on Thursday afternoon, November 23, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred after 2:00 p.m. in the 5000 block of Cypress Avenue near Walnut Avenue.

An 18-year-old driver with four passengers was going northbound on Walnut when he collided with another male driver going southbound with two adults and a teen.

The minors did not wear seatbelts and were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Neither the conditions nor the ages of the other seven victims are known at this time.

One of the cars ran a red light, but the authorities were unsure which one. The crash is under investigation, and drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors.
