An unidentified Walmart employee was injured after getting attacked by a box cutter in a local Walmart on November 24, 2021.
The incident transpired at a Walmart store located at 2232 Gallatin Pike N. The 19-year-old suspect and her boyfriend confronted the victim, who was about the clock out from his shift at Walmart.
The two parties had ongoing issues, and a fight broke out. The altercation escalated when the 19-year-old susp[ect swung a hammer at the victim.
Bystanders attempted to break up the fight with one person taking the hammer away, but the 19-year-old suspect managed to grab the victim from behind and retrieved a work-issued box cutter.
The suspect then sliced the victim with the box cutter. The victim sustained deep cuts to his head which required seven stitches.
The suspect was later identified after she showed up at the Madison Precinct to pick up items she lost during the altercation. She was identified as 19-year-old Tonisha M.
Tonisha is currently facing charges of aggravated assault and is being held on a $150,000 bond.
