[12-07-2022] Multi-Vehicle Collision in Hesperia Kills One Person and Injures AnotherOne person was killed and another was injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Hesperia on Wednesday afternoon, December 07, 2022.

According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the crash involving three vehicles occurred around 2:44 p.m. on Mariposa Road and Eucalyptus Road.

Firefighters who responded to the site found a maroon Ford pickup truck heavily damaged, with a part of it impaled into a white box truck and a white KIA sedan off in the distance.

The male driver of the pickup had to be extricated but was still declared dead despite efforts to save his life. A female passenger in the same car was taken to a nearby hospital for sustaining minor injuries.

The truck driver was unharmed and there were no further details on the other driver. It remained unclear how exactly the crash happened.

A section of Mariposa Road, between Turko Avenue and Avenal Street, was closed off for the investigation.

Investigators from the Hesperia Police Department’s San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies are looking into the collision.
