One person was fatally struck by another driver in a road rage incident in Maywood on Friday night, December 9, 2022.
According to reports, the incident transpired around 8:18 p.m. close to East 58th Street and Atlantic Boulevard intersection.
Authorities confirmed that a road rage incident occurred before the victim was hit by the car, and the suspected driver is in custody.
Paramedics rushed to the scene and found the victim suffering from injuries to the upper chest.
He was transferred to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Tahoe driver first fled the scene, but later turned himself into authorities.
The green Tahoe showed visible damage to the front of it “consistent with hitting a person,” said Camacho.
