Authorities said at least one person was hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision in Riverside County on late Sunday afternoon, December 11, 2022.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 5:38 p.m. on the Interstate 10 freeway in the San Gorgonio Pass.
The collision involved a Lexus crashing with a white Tahoe. The heavy rain in the area an hour earlier may have likely contributed to the crash.
Responders from the Cathedral City Fire Department transported at least one person to the Desert Regional Hospital for sustaining injuries.
It is unclear how exactly the crash happened and the extent of injuries involved as the investigation continued.
