A 45-year-old man sustained a serious head injury after being struck by a vehicle in the Barrio Logan neighborhood of San Diego on Thursday morning, December 12, 2024.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:25 a.m. at the intersection of 28th and Main Street, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The pedestrian was walking in a crosswalk when a 63-year-old driver in a 2014 Ford Escape hit him while making a left turn.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where doctors determined he had suffered a skull fracture. The injury was deemed not life-threatening.
Authorities confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
