[12-17-2022] 26-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed Following Collision Near EscondidoA 26-year-old motorcyclist died after a collision with a cargo van in an unincorporated region near Escondido.

The crash reportedly transpired around 2:15 p.m. on Mary Lane near Summit Drive.

According to authorities, the rider was heading north when the Nissan NV 1500 van driver came out of a private driveway and struck the Honda CBR motorcycle.

Paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital, where he died. His identity has not been revealed.

Meanwhile, the driver of the van escaped injury.

Investigators believe neither drugs nor alcohol played a role in the crash.
