[12-23-2024] Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle on Industrial Boulevard in Chula VistaA pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing the 1000 block of Industrial Boulevard in Chula Vista on Monday evening, December 23, 2024.

According to the Chula Vista Police Department, the collision occurred at approximately 6:14 p.m. when a 2014 Toyota Camry, traveling northbound on Industrial Boulevard, struck the pedestrian, who was crossing the street outside of a designated crosswalk.

The pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The Camry’s driver, a 44-year-old San Ysidro resident, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Police confirmed that alcohol or drug impairment is not suspected to have played a role in the crash.

The CVPD Traffic Bureau is investigating the incident.
